“Lost” a poem/rap I wrote from the heart
How are we suppose to know what to do in life
as a kid the last thing i thought about is a job, a wife
growin up learning about things that don’t matter
how it that suppose to help us in the latter
purpose is hard to find
in this grind
we unwind
taken up time
is the only thing on my mind
I need a sign
something to point me in the right direction
something in life worth catchen
worth fetchen
I don’t take kindly to the idea of
doing something in life i wont love
a life of misery
is what i foresee
for peers who go into the industry
blindfolded, by the idea of accomplishment
They don’t understand the severity
of their so called accomplishment
on the well being of their soul
before they know it they’ve grown old
not living their life for themselves
instead, just living life for someone else
I can’t even imagine the feeling
Of someone who just realized how deceiving
Society portrays how to achieve happiness
Following society’s expectations doesn’t bring bliss
Only makes you miss
Your opportunity to be content with life
Follow your dreams
by any means
You only get one chance
Before death intervenes

A human being is part of a whole, called by us the ‘Universe’ —a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts, and feelings, as something separated from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” — Albert Einstein
Obama tearing up during a speech to his campaign staff. Thank God we elected a human president who actually cares about the people of America.
